Homeschool State Laws & Regulations

There are many sources that have information concerning homeschooling and the

regulations related to it, but be sure to go to your state’s Department of Education

(DOE) site and see what it says. It’s more likely to be up to date and is a good place

to start when planning out what homeschooling will look like for you and

your family. It is mandatory that state requirements are met, and the government

sites are very helpful in finding ways to meet their requirements. Make sure to check

out cites with .org or .gov as they are more reliable. The Home School Legal Defense

Association(HSLDA) has a lot of information concerning the laws of homeschooling

for each state. These are links to the state Department of Education or organizational

sites that have information about

what each state requires to lawfully homeschool.
